THE FUTURE IS HERE………and a LEGEND REBORN!
A new era in caravanning has dawned.
Caravanning giant Coromal Windsor are set to revolutionize the caravan industry and create history with their new Evolution caravan. The incredibly engineered Evolution is set to redefine caravanning for both manufacturers and the public.
Fleetwood RV’s executive general manager Peter Naylor and his team are responsible for the creation of the Evolution caravan. Mr Naylor wanted to break away from the rest of the industry with their traditionally built chassis and timber frames so he took a leaf out of the automotive industry to come up with what’s believed to be the countries first Automotive caravan chassis. Coromal’s FRV chassis is lighter than a standard built chassis and so much stronger being manufactured from 550 grade steel – typically used in high-end engineering applications. Its CAD designed, laser cut, CNC punched and folded to bring you a significantly superior chassis from the traditional market.
Stronger, lighter and visually appealing, the evolution chassis unites with FRV’s famous Esy-Tow™ Tourer wish bone suspension as standard, or the optional Sports wish bone suspension suited for serious off road venturing.
FRV’s unique wish bone suspension Systems provide a safe, predictable and easy towing experience, eliminating sideways movement and axle steer resulting in positive tracking, hence; no white knuckles while towing!
The Evolution caravan is not only about the chassis it also boasts FRV’s Future Teck™ Construction which brings new and improved functionality and superior ‘strength to weight ratio’, which is what the public demand. Using this construction method, FRV have been able to greatly improve the engineering using a fully rolled aluminium section on the roof fixing. A CNC laminated van is simply superior to the market comparisons which are generally made with the planked alternatives.
Effectively, the Evolution Future Teck™ roof is a one-piece design which is 50mm thick. The panel starts at the front leading edge of the caravan and finishes at the rear bumper. This seamless, one-piece design means no plastic moulding, less joints with minimal expansion, while significantly reducing the chance of water ingress. The evolution walls are 30mm thick and the wood free floor is a 40mm honeycombed composite panel.
A new light weight ensuite partition is composed from FRV’s Future Teck™ sandwich panel construction. The main benefits include being light weight, resistant to water damage (as there is no timber), and makes the whole van structurally stronger, while also being used to divide the ensuite wet area from the rest of the van.
Other improved modern features include FRV’s automotive glass windows, so no more scratched Perspex, a light weight furniture system including new shower and drainage which is light and contemporary in style.
The Evolution range currently comes in three of Coromal’s popular series, “Element” (Tourer), “Element RTV” (Semi Off Road) and the “Pioneer XC” (Off Road).
The evolution was created due to continual public demand for a stronger yet light weight modern caravan. Australia being such a large country, one needs to be conscious of petrol prices as well as being confident while towing.
As with all Coromal | Windsor caravans, the Evolution is completely WA built, in their state of the art factory by an experienced and dedicated Fleetwood Recreational Vehicle team, from concept, to design, and production.
